Provider Consultation

Providers can call SPARK’s phone line Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM for mental health inquiries. Common reasons to call include questions about starting psychiatric medications, mental health diagnostic concerns, or therapeutic intervention inquiries. SPARK’s phone line is staffed by mental health providers (MHPs). The PCP and MHP collaborate to determine the best next steps. These steps may involve consulting with a child and adolescent psychiatrist (CAP), adult psychiatry, or addiction medicine specialist discussing “best-fit resources,” or reviewing in-office therapeutic interventions. PCPs can be assured that SPARK will provide support for any follow-up questions as well.

A virtual “by your side” consultant, board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, adult psychiatrist, addiction medicine specialist, and/or licensed mental health professionals are ready to support you in providing pediatric (ages 0-21) mental health care in your practice. Just register and submit a request online or by phone.

Partnering in Mental Health Care

SPARK aims to support Oklahoma primary care providers (PCPs) in their care of patients from infancy to geriatric with psychiatric and mental health needs and to minimize barriers in accessing mental health care for patients. Together, we can meet the mental health needs of our community.
