We are pleased to offer this updated version of the Pediatric Psychotropic Medication Resource Guide. In this updated guide you will find the most up-to-date information regarding psychiatric illnesses in pediatric patients. This guide is intended to provide support for medical providers caring for youth with psychiatric illnesses; but should not replace sound clinical judgment. We have updated resources and are including examples of “in-office techniques” to support the emotional well-being of youth in pediatric primary care settings. In addition, since the creation of our first guide we now have our State-Wide Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Access Program that clinicians can call Monday–Friday for access to a licensed mental health professional AND a child and adolescent psychiatrist.
